The inaugural Langkawi International Island Music will reverberate through Pantai Cenang, Langkawi, Malaysia on Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 December 2017. Featuring local and international acts, the Festival will cover a full range of island music, from reggae to calypso and Keroncong. The Festival is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees to this tropical island paradise as they countdown to Christmas with smooth grooves and good vibes.
Day One will highlight local aritstes such as The A Street Band, Elements, Babuyramos and Aru & The Republic as well as international acts like Safitri (Indonesia), Nicky Bomba’s Bustamento (Malta) and Ras Jahknow (Cape Verde).
Day Two will feature local performers Leaism Band, Budak Nakal Hujung Simpang and Purevibracion and international names like Mayu Wakisaka (Japan), True Culture (Australia) and Sol Nation (Timur Leste). More artistes are expected to join the line-up which will also feature top island music DJ Stick Mareebo.
In addition to the daily concerts which will start at 5pm daily and end with fireworks display nightly, there will also be workshops held at various participating partner outlets on Pantai Cenang every day from 12pm – 4pm. This will be an opportunity for fans to get up-close and personal with their favourite acts.
