White Night Melbourne will return to the streets, laneways and gardens of the CBD from dusk 'til dawn on Saturday 17 February 2018.
Inspired by the international Nuit Blanche movement, which began in Paris, White Night now takes place in dozens of cities worldwide. White Night Melbourne joined the list in 2013 and now, in its sixth year, is one of the major events on Australia’s cultural calendar.
A one night only, all-night celebration of culture and creativity, the 12-hour event includes exhibitions, street performances, illuminations, installations, film screenings, music, dance and interactive events throughout the CBD and city cultural precinct, and provides a rare opportunity to experience Melbourne in a different light
White Night Melbourne takes over city streets, parklands, laneways, public spaces and cultural institutions of Melbourne’s CBD, from the National Gallery of Victoria on St Kilda Road right through to the Melbourne Museum and Carlton Gardens.
Almost everything at White Night Melbourne is free, with a few venues hosting ticketed events. Visit the White Night Melbourne website to see the full program and to plan your White Night.
