After a successful event last year—with over 15,000 momo lovers thronging for the delicious Nepalese cuisine at M Festival 2017—the festival is returning in 2018 to one of Melbourne’s most unique venues - The Coburg Velodrome - for another culinary-packed three days in March!
Momos are the Nepalese version of dumplings that burst with flavour. Momo Fest 2018 boasts over 30+ varieties of momos - ranging from buff momos (a popular favourite in Nepal), goat, lamb, beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and various vegetarian and vegan options.
And with entertainment over two stages, you can expect a full spectrum of the most unique eastern-influenced entertainment and urban grooves our city has to offer.
The main stage is headlined by internationally-acclaimed Nepalese traditional folk band, Kutumba.
Adding to the vibrant entertainment is Ras Jahknow Band, along with other local bands, workshops and performances in Latin moves, Bhangra beats, Hip hop dance, colourful Chinese lion dancers, energetic Nepali Lakhey Dance, and rhythmic Nepalese steps.
The festival will also see an exciting celebration of holi colours as a symbol of celebration of Multiculturalism.
Every donation of $2 upon entry will receive a free raffle ticket with exciting prizes like return tickets for two to Nepal, iPhone X, accommodation package & more.
All donations received will go towards MIT Group Foundation’s projects in Nepal to build schools and establish hospitals in remote places of Nepal.
